Twitter
Shopping
Twitter is not only the place where people talk about what’s happening in the world, it’s now the place where they shop. Into skincare? Here’s a whole new regimen. Hostess with the mostess? Here’s everything you need to throw the best dinner party.
As lead copywriter, I took this project from ideation to pre-production before new leadership paused the product. Our goal was to help the new feature find its brand and presence on the platform.
Shop straight from the timeline
Through a combination of live action and animation, let’s show the best gifts that appear right on the timeline.
Script:
Two roommates are sitting on their twin beds. Roommate 1 is crying into a tub of ice cream, makeup streaming down her face. Roommate 2 is tireddd.
Roommate 2: “We need some self-care Sunday.”
Roommate 1’s phone begins to shake with Twitter animation (WIP) when suddenly they appear in facemasks, eye patches, robes, and slippers.
Cuts to scene of people at a dinner party. Warm vibes.
Dinner party attendee: “You know, a chisel knife would be perfect on this charcuterie board.”
Another attendee’s phone starts buzzing with animation, and the utensil pops onto the spread.
VO: On Twitter, you’re already talking about what you love.
Now, you can shop there too.
The dinner party attendees cheers their glasses.
Cuts to scene of four sports “bros” watching the game. Three are wearing the team’s jersey, and one is in a black tshirt.
Bro in a jersey: “Man, you gotta start dressin’ for game day.”
Immediately, blue dust and BAM. He’s in his matching jersey. When GOOOALL.
The teams scores, and the bros celebrate.

Shopping ... but make it Twitter
See how how Twitter Shopping tools connect people Tweeting about super unique items directly with vendors through the timeline.
Script:
POV: a woman attaches the note to a gift basket filled with skincare, a robe, and slippers. The note reads: “take care babes💕” A Tweet pops up on the top right corner of the screen saying, “I need some self care Sunday.”
VO: Your community is Tweeting about what they love.
More Tweets begin to populate the screen. “looking for the BEST eye masks,” “I need a whole new skincare routine,” etc.
Now, they’re shopping for what they love … right on Twitter.
Tweets disappear and the basket shakes and poofs away leaving Twitter blue dust behind.
